I'm one of the many Americans affected by the economic downturn over the past eight years. My personal story touches on almost every aspect of our past and present economic dilemma.

The middle class in the United States is dwindling. Americans need to sit up and take notice, and more importantly they need to get involved in the process of change. Remember the Boston Tea Party from history class or Gandhi’s movement encouraging Indians to buy only homespun cloth to help gain India's independence from England?

As American consumers we have the power to loosen the grip “Big Business” has on our Government and our economy.
